Job Title: Senior Marketing Manager

Role Summary/Purpose


  • The Senior Marketing Manager demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within area of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall strategy.

Essential Responsibilities


  • Utilizes Gold Standard marketing practices and skills to develop and execute the marketing plan for a GE Oil & Gas in Sub-Saharan Africa. Responsibilities include VOC gathering, Marketing, Blueprint development and collaboration, segmentation, targeting and positioning to align messaging, tactics, commercial channel tools and execution for success

  • Employs market research, industry trend analysis, market share and competitive analysis, country assessments, in determining and developing commercial strategy for a product portfolio in SSA region

  • Drive adoption of regional marketing strategy with global product and business teams.

  • Evaluate and make recommendations to the leadership on disruptive technologies, new trends, and other events.

  • Promote and support innovation efforts including the incubation and commercialization of new technologies and business models, and explore new segments and customers.

  • Drive functional tools and/or processes for segmentation, value proposition development, and Voice of Customer activities. Support programs to develop differentiation, targeting and positioning strategies to drive growth and segment penetration.

Qualifications/Requirements


  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related field.

  • 8 years’ experience working with the marketing analytics organization (preferred)

  • Comfortable to huge data sets, creative in power point presentations

  • Very strong on excel dashboards creation

  • Broad range of Marketing skills: from strategic marketing (product positioning, Life-Cycle management, future offerings) to commercial marketing (customer activation, distribution models…)

  • Influencing skills: ability to motivate individuals and demonstrate organizational influence across all level of the organization

  • Clear communicator: able to translate complex situations into easy-to-understand elements, strong oral and written communication skills

  • Change management: proven record of assessing the need for change, developing and implementing change

  • Innovative: develop new ideas through collaboration and execute on creative ideas

  • Previous experience in Marketing or Market Development preferred

Job Title: Regional Application & Requisition Engineer
Location: Lagos


Role Summary/Purpose


  • This position involves scope to cover both (Proposal) ITO and (Execution) OTR for legacy Alstom GT. The ITO scope includes preparing Standard inspection, Conversion, Modification & Uprate (CM&U) technical proposals mainly for legacy Alstom Gas turbines (including research, technical description, performance, emissions and cost definition

Essential Responsibilities


  • In this role you will utilize conceptual thinking and the ability to quickly determine applicability of GE technology to support the growing market in the MEA region.

  • Provide engineering leadership and have responsibility for all technical aspects of assessing each opportunity upfront for feasibility.

  • Identify risk areas and address technical issues inherent with retrofitting GE gas equipment.

  • Review customer specifications and ensure offering satisfies requirements and identify exceptions and/or clarifications.

  • Coordinate with customers, GE regional and headquarters sales and operations support, EED components, and key Core Power Services organizations to ensure the CM&U proposal is compatible with the unit, the customer needs, GE design standards and established quoting limits.

  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations at customer meetings and conferences.

  • Promote and contribute to business programs (cost reduction, continuous improvement, workout, business teams, etc.).

  • Lead system level / fleet wide proposal activities.

  • Review and own proposal related metrics.

  • The engineering scope is well documented and defined for the execution team

  • The plant as maintained is updated after outage

Qualifications/Requirements


  • BS degree or above in a Mechanical or equivalent technical discipline

  • Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of gas turbine, steam turbine and generator product knowledge

  • Demonstrated ability to represent GE in customer communication & discussions

  • Demonstrated ability to work with a crossfunctional team in a global environment

  • Proven record of responsiveness in offering disposition to various stakeholders (regional/global) including customer, service managers, design/repair center of excellence

  • Fluency in English, ability to communicate with local customers & suppliers

Job Title: Lead Field Engineer – Gas/Steam Mechanical

Role Summary/Purpose


  • The Lead Field Engineer will provide on-site direction on all customer products and facilities within a given territory as required by the company.

Essential Responsibilities   


  • Provide on-site technical direction and leadership during installation, startup, commissioning and maintenance to customer owned power generation and industrial facilities

  • Prepare job-planning documents that define the scope of the outage and installation task to be performed through engineering instructions, drawings, and process instructions. Provide input for Daily Outage and Weekly Installation Reports.

  • Communicate effectively with Installation Directors and Service Managers utilizing customers’ CTQ in job planning and execution and with Resource Directors regarding site arrivals, departures and job progression.

  • Provides leadership and technical direction of installation to skilled labor performing work on customer sites.

  • Maintain strong safety mindset to assure the executed work reflects the technical requirements within GE safety standards

  • Possess technical capacity to troubleshoot and provide routine maintenance and installation checkout for a wide range of equipment vintages.

  • Prepare timely and accurate technical reports for customer records and a reference for future outages

  • Troubleshoot mechanical operations and maintenance problems in the steam and gas turbine technologies.
