AMAeSI and Aeronautical Engineering


Associate Membership of the Aeronautical Society of India (AMAeSI) is a course recognized by Govt. of India at par with a bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering.


AMAeSI Course has two sections – Section A and Section B. The qualified candidates can appear for Section A examination. Section B comprises four streams such as Aero-mechanical, Avionics, Electrical Maintenance & Production and Mechanical Maintenance & Production. The examinations of these two sections are conducted by the Aeronautical Society of India (AeSI), which is a major professional body in the realm of aeronautics in India.


As the AMAeSI Course is equivalent to Aeronautical Engineering, students who have passed AMAeSI Section A and B can appear for all India Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) conducted by Indian Institute of Science and Indian Institute of Technology. Moreover, for those candidates who pass Associate Membership Examination of the Society will be eligible for relaxation of 12 months experience required for the Aircraft Maintenance Engineers License conducted by the Director General of Civil Avionics.
