SALES MANAGER


JOB PURPOSE

The Sales manager; Nigeria role report directly to the Regional Manager – NWC Africa

The incumbent a of this role is for the management of the development and implementation of the country sales strategy inclusive of ensuring the achievement of annual sales targets and relevant country sales representation


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Plan a country sales budget strategically linked to SAA Cemmercial objectives

Achievements of country revenue growth in link with SAA Commercial targets

The improvement of yields through an increase in high value products and earnings

Facilitate and maintain effective country stakeholder and business relationships through appropriate relationship building networking and reporting activities

Represent the organisation to country stakeholders, associates and partners and maintain professional. effective and amicable relationships to ensure SAA’s interests are upheld

Determine country customer needs and engage in effective planning to determine and prioritise services to be rendered

Identify company stakeholders, collaborators and partners, synergistic to projects and programmes, to support the execution of the SAA Commercial country business plan

Build credibility with the Country Offices & GSA’S Office through continuous communication with their sales force by demonstrating depth of knowledge, experience and senior presence in sales focus areas

Provide a high professional standard of Sales advice to the Organisation and also to our business partners

Utilise feedback and trend analysis to ensure continuous improvement of sales practices

Produce accurate and timely monthly and weekly regional sales reports

Regularly report to the Regional Manager on strategic initiatives and the progress thereon

Improve customer relationships and service levels

Oversee the effective, timely and accurate completion of budget setting

Oversee and review preparation of the monthly and weekly country sales reports, including analysis of variances against budget/forecast and prior year

Ensure that appropriate governance systems are in place and in line with future requirements, i.e. Policies, procedures and reporting structures

Develop and implement monitoring of the country and GSA’S performance on regular basis

Manage business risk, through continuous internal and external monitoring of business Impact, as well as changes in customer needs

Establish and maintain the highest ethical standard in employment practices, including compliance with all statutory requirements


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelors degree in Marketing/Business Management is a must

A postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage

A minimum of 5 – 7 years experience in sales and marketing within the airline environment of which 3 years should be in Management position

Experience in contract negotiations, contact management, logistics management

At least 3 years experience in conducting business or sales activities within Nigeria

Tourism and/or hospitality experience critical

Aviation industry knowledge an advantage

Business planning knowledge essential
